1. Conservation will be added to the planning board check list per PCC chair’s conversation with the Building Inspector last week. This will insure PCC is made aware of activities, had opportunity to communicate with PPB and has signed off on applications. .
2. The Scott Brown pond recovery project was ok’ed by Conservation.

3. Paul Metcalf will have the Dustin-Barker gates up by fall thanks to the efforts of the Snow Riders Club.

4. The Pittsfield Conservation Commission has noted that the Moreno contract is beyond its completion date and has yet to be started. In phone conversation with Mark Wallace Charles Moreno said that his company was clearing up some other work first and would start doing parcels of land this summer.
The Conservation Commission feels the apparent low priority and open-ended
final date is unacceptable.
Nancy Bates motioned that the Pittsfield Conservation Commission send a letter
to Mr. Moreno stating that due to the breach of contract he return our $1000
initial payment and terminate the contract.
Motion seconded by Paul Metcalf. In favor/ 4; opposed/0; Abstain 1;
Vote Carried.

5. Old Home Day on 18 July will need volunteers. Paul Metcalf will provide a sign and Conservation pens. Mark Wallace will supply a table and chairs.
All members present said they would man the information booth as needed.

6. The storage company on High Street has yet to put in evergreen shrubbery and to make lighting changes per engineering drawing 12-5 and also as agreed to in our meeting in February. Nancy Bates will contact the Pittsfield Building Inspector and investigate.
7. Mark Wallace attended the Conservation education meeting in Gilmanton last week and briefed the Commission. The many types and advantages of conservation easements were illuminated by Society of Protection of NH Forests, Director of Land Conservation, Tom Howe; thowe@forestsociety.org .

Five Rivers Conservation Trust, Executive Director, Chuck Knox, director@5rct.org also spoke of their resources, and services

Gilmanton Conservation Commission and The Gilmanton Land Trust facilitated the presentation. They each added supporting examples of many ways drafting an easement and why conserving land is good business.
