Pittsfield Economic Development Committee
April 4, 2012

1. Meeting opened at 5:35.

2. Attendees: Ted Mitchell (TV), Lyn Roberts (LR), Linda Small (LS), Susan Muenzinger (SM)
Ellen Barbasso (EB), Paul Skowron (PS), Matt Monahan (MM) from CNHRPC,

3. Minutes from March 21, 2012 accepted and approved as written.

4. Tilton Hill Rail Trail
A. Town now owns property at 79 Tilton Hill
1.It is near the new baseball fields
2. It was suggested that it be used as a “rail trail” to link to downtown
B. Letter will be sent to Board of Selectmen to recommend the “rail trail”
1. A few revisions were made to the letter
2. There was a recommendation to retain the property or at least include some kind of right of
way in case the property is sold.

5. Suncook River nomination
A There are 13 rivers which are under the NH Rivers Management and Protection Program
1.This would give us opportunity to request grants to help the river
2. It would create a formal mechanism for all towns on the river to collaborate on river protection,
planning and management issues
B. LS made a motion to seek designation of the Suncook River for protection under the NH Rivers
Management and Protection Program
1. SM seconded the motion
2. Letters will be prepared and sent to Vanessa Goold at CNHRPC and to Board of Selectmen

6.Spring EDC Newsletter
1. We reviewed the Newsletter and made a few changes
2. Will include a link to Concord Monitor for an article on Pittsfield High School “site council”

7. Other
A. Wi-Fi-Single Digits is hesitating to give us credit for the Wi-Fi

8. Next meeting April 25, 2012 and a meeting on May 2, 2012 for businesses

9. Meeting closed at 6:26 P.M.
