1. Meeting called to order at 5:35.

2. Attendees: Ed Vien (EV), Deb Jordan (JD), James Hetu (JH), Lyn Roberts (LR), Susan
Muensinger (SM), and Ellen Barbasso (EB). Also attending Matt Monahan (MM).
representing CNHRPC.

3. Minutes from November 16, 2008 approved and accepted.

4. Reports from MM
A.Final report dropped off at DRED
B. We should get $1,500 to implement strategy document (pay for MM)
C. We will receive grant money to pay for the Wi-Fi
D. Selectboard has to approve receipt of the money
E. Still trying to find the person who was chairperson in Pembroke when WiFi signs were put up

5. HUD Grant
A. What percentage of the project could be considered “common use”?
B. Unable to get a definite answer on that
C. If Tier 1 town does not know what to use the money for, can we move to that spot? – No.
D.Preapplication due December 19, 2 days after our next meeting
E. We should be ready to apply if a Tier 1 town is not going to use the money
F. MM will e-mail the application so we can preview it before the next meeting

6. Wi-Fi
A. Spots still available on start up page
B. Put advertisement for it in local paper
C. Problem trying to use links to advertisers
1. You are not logged so can’t get to the link
2. After getting logged on it goes to the computer’s home page not Pittsfield page
3. Need to force users to go to our web page after getting on the internet.

7. Innovative Land Use Handbook
A. Look at 3 sections befpore next meeting
1. Infill Development – section 1.6 pg 95
2. Urban Growth 1.8 pg 119
3. Village Plan Alternative (mixed use development) section 1.5 pg 79
B. DES will pay Planning Commission (30 hours)

8. Amenico
A. They are fully operational and need to hire more people
B. State gave approval for them to use additive fuel for boilers in homes
C. Open House will be Dec 18 or 19
D. Want to open hydro-electric power

9. Minutes need to be sent to two other people
A. Steve Heavener and Cedric Dustin- add to list

10. Next meeting Wednesday December 17, 2008 at 5:30 P.M.
