Dustins Park
– Discussion was held on the gazebo lights and whether they should be lit continuously.
The committee felt that was unnecessary at this time since the new post lights are on a
timer and are sufficient to keep the entire area lit.
– A motion was approved to expand the monument in Dustins Park as proposed by the
American Legion and the Pittsfield Historical Society. The committee thanks Larry
Berkson and Bob Moulton for coming in and presenting the project.
– The granite posts knocked down have been replaced and look great.
– A motion was approved to encumber $300 of 2005 funds for use in 2006 to add shrubs in
the park.
Town Swimming Area
– A motion was approved to encumber $3206 of 2005 funds for use in 2006 for new
playground equipment and benches for the swimming area.
Other Business
– Michelle gave an Oktoberfest review and mentioned that there was a need to keep adults
occupied so people would stay longer. The suggestion was made for adding craft tables,
and it was agreed to try this for next year.
– Jason gave an update for the Basketball program. 120 students signed up this year, and it
will start next week. We also have a new traveling team thanks to Jason’s hard work.
– Meeting schedules will change in 2006 to 2nd Monday of the month (from 1st Monday of
the month).
The remainder of the meeting was spent discussing plans for the upcoming Winterfest.
