Meeting Minutes 01/23/2008
1) Meeting called to order at 5:35 pm. In attendance: Ed Vien (EV), Lyn Roberts (LR), Deb
Jordan (DJ), Helen Schiff (HS), Ellen Barbasso (EBa), Matt Monahan (MM) representing
(CNHRPC). Also attending: Susan Muenzinger (SM), Clayton Wood and Gene Marcott.
2) Minutes from 1/16/08 reviewed and accepted. Corrections needed to be made: on 8, change
Clayton Woods to Wood.
3) YMCA follow-up
a. Over 200 surveys have been returned
b. Matt is compiling the data
4) Stephen Heavener from CRDC
a. He met with the Select Board.
b. Leon Kenison will be setting up a date and time to meet with him so they can go around
town to see what is here
c. We would like him to come to and EDC meeting
5) Clayton Wood review of our town/EDC web site
a. It has mainly historic data, does not exchange ideas
b. Information is not up to date
c. Should be more context driven
d. Minutes do not need to be on the page-can have a link to them
e. He suggested that each committee inputs their minutes using a special code
f. The town web site is being revised. Will be available in May.
g. All committees should have a similar look- left side bar for links, right side bar for important
information
h. Show benefits of the town instead of the committee’s accomplishments
i. Provide case studies – businesses that are succeeding
j. We can profile a particular business every other month, or every three months
k. Do not list Mission Statement
l. We could have our own web-site and link to the town’s site
m. Manchester has a good site
