January 9, 2006

Present – Bill Elkins, Chair, Dave Simpson, Stan Bailey, and Cedric Dustin, HSA Board, were present. Fred Okrent and Jeremiah Lamson, Town Administrator, were also present.

Meeting opened at 7:00PM at the Town Hall.

1. Meeting Minutes – A motion was made to approve the December 19th minutes as written by Cedric Dustin, seconded by Dave Simpson. Motion passed 4 to 0.

2. Old Business

A. Marshall Court Inspections – The Building Inspector had done those inspections that afternoon, but the Town Administrator had not heard the results.

B. The Board passed out the Code Books. Dave Simpson was given Book #1, Bill Elkins was given Book #2, Cedric Dustin was given Book #3, and Stan Bailey was given Book #4.

The Board discussed pulling the files to look at which inspections

4. New Business

A. HSA Administrator/Inspector – The Board reviewed the application that had been received for the position. The Board discussed combining the HSA position with the Fire Chief’s position or the Building Inspector’s position. The Board felt it was better to have a separate person. The Board then interviewed the candidate for the position. A motion was made to hire Fred Okrent as the HSA Administrator/Inspector for $50 a week for administrative costs and $15 per inspection by Stan Bailey, seconded by Dave Simpson. Motion passed 3 to 0 with Cedric Dustin abstaining. Stan Bailey asked Fred Okrent to go through the files and report back to the Board on the status of the files. The Board discussed putting a notice of the appointment in the paper.

5. The Board discussed moving their next meeting to February 13th because the 20th is a holiday. The Board agreed to meet on the 13th at 7PM.

6. Cedric Dustin motioned to adjourn at 8:05PM, seconded by Stan Bailey. All in favor, motion passed. Meeting adjourned.
