Pittsfield Website Committee – March 16, 2010
The Pittsfield Website Committee was called to order at @ 7:03 pm.
Location: Pittsfield Elementary School Library
Members present:

1. Minutes: Minutes of January 19, 2010 were approved.

2. Website Update: Clayton stated if any committee members found any errors on the website, he would like them posted on the blog.

3. EDC Subweb Discussion:
a. Matt reported that there had been good communication from Scott and the EDC committee.
b. Clayton suggested ideas on how to introduce the new EDC website. Would Scott do it? or Maybe an article in the Suncook Sun?
c. Matt thought the EDC site could be finished in two weeks if he receives the rest of the information needed for the content of the site.

4.Emergency Notification System:
a. Clayton would like to research Facebook and Twitter as options for the notification system.
b. Matt suggested offering use of his site http://www.NHAlerts.com to the town to use for free. This would provide text eAlerts to cell phones, email addresses, pagers and a voice notification for handicapped and elderly citizens.
c. Clayton suggested the committee should write a plan to present to the Selectmen on the best way the website can be used to help with the Emergency Notification System.

5. Follow-up:
a. Clayton will find out who is in charge of the Emergency Notification System Committee.
b. Clayton will renew the domain name, mypittsfield.com, on march 24, 2010 with godaddy.
c. The committee will consider moving mypittsfield.com to Matt’s server in the future to have all domains in a single location.
