Members in attendance: Kathy Boudreau, Jesse MacGlashing, Maryellen(Minni) Plante, Lynda Vogt

The minutes from the February meeting were approved as written. The treasurer’s report was accepted as given.

FB Argue Recreation Area:
Kathy asked for dates for swimming lessons. Minni said she would have that organized by the April meeting. Kathy said that Nick would be willing to help Minni interview for guards and gate keepers if they could be planned on the weekend. We will still need to purchase new ropes as they were not purchased from last year’s budget. Minni reported that she had talked with the Girl Scout leader and they will plant the planters as a community project. She also reported that she had purchased a new volley ball net, volley ball, and new swimming noodles from last year’s budget. Cara will put the advertisement in the Suncook Sun in March so that we can have the people hired approved by the police and select board before opening.

Basketball:
General consensus was that the program and been more organized this year and that the coach’s guide containing the code of ethics and practice drills was well received. Kathy will bring the guide to the next meeting so that all committee members will have a copy. Jay will be asking for reimbursement for the basketball hoop.

Easter Egg Hunt:
The annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held on April 11 at 9:00 at the tennis courts at Drake’s Field. Minni will get the candy from Sam’s Club to stuff the eggs. Kathy has reserved the bunny costume which we will not be able to share with Northwood this year as their hunt will be earlier. Kathy will take care of putting together the golden eggs and will purchase the chocolate bunnies for prizes for those who find the golden eggs. Minni will call Joanne Ward to ask if she could find some helpers for the day of the Easter Egg Hunt. There are 1500 eggs to be stuffed so Minni offered to help Lynda with stuffing them. The categories for the prizes will be 1) 6 and under 750 eggs), 2) 7 to 10(500 eggs), and 3) 11 plus(250 eggs). The eggs should be put in bags of 250 each to help with spreading them on that day. We will not having a coloring contest this year.

Senior Project:
Christian Guyette, Chris Haire, Joe Osborne, and Whiley Clattenburg came to talk to the committee about reseeding, planting flowers, and generally beautifying Dustin’s Park for their senior project. They will bring a proposal to the April meeting.

Winterfest:
The PYW invoice was not finalized. We will need to submit the PYW and the Senior Center meal invoices to the Sanderson Fund for payment. Candy Bar Bingo was successful, but Minni and Jesse both thought it was too long. We should plan for only an hour next year. The Squam Lake Science Center presentation was a success again along with the PYW activities and the Senior Activities. Craft Day with the Circle of Home and Family was successful although attendance was down from last year. Kathy suggested that we have the adult gym again next year, but that we hold it after Rec. Basketball. Minni was asked to find out if the Circle of Home and Family would like to be reimbursed for their craft costs.

Chamber of CommerceVolunteer Day:
We will plan on trying to pull together a presentation next year.

Respectfully submitted,

Maryellen Plante
