1. Meeting opened at 5:35.

2. Attendees: Ed Vien (EV), James Hetu (JH), Deb Jordan (DJ), Lyn Roberts (LR), Helen Schiff (HS),
Ellen Barbasso (EB), Linda Small (LS), and Matt Monahan (MM) representing CNHRPC.

3. Minutes from May 6, 2009 approved and accepted as written.

4. Wi-Fi
A. Matt Goodwin sent an e-mail asking how we want the landing page to look
1. The landing page will be separate from the Town page
2. There will be a link to the Town web page
3. Should say “This site is brought to you by Pittsfield Economic Development Committee and
their sponsors”
4. There will be a link to those sponsors who have web pages
B. Letter to businesses, drafted by MM
1.Letter was edited
2. MM would like to have a copy of the landing page to attach to the letter

5. RSA-162N
A. This is a tax credit program from the state, does not affect town taxes
B. The application can be sent to the Commissioner of Resources and Economic Development
C. Application can come from the Board of Selectmen, does not have to be approved at the town
meeting first
D. Other towns have designated specific streets or census tracts
E. MM will ask if the whole town can be designated as an area or census tracts

6. Business Survey
A. We want to use a survey to see how we can make Pittsfield a better place for businesses
B. MM provided 3 surveys from different towns-for use as an example
C. Try to come up with 8-10 questions that would be helpful
D. It was noted that transportation will be needed when Pittsfield Medical moves to Epsom

7. Other
A. EV told us we could get a 3′ by 6′ banner advertising “Free Wi-Fi Main Street Pittsfield” for
about $110.00
B. Marketing Strategy-We should get Pittsfield listed in New England Real Estate Journal with
pictures from the town web site
