Minutes
May 21, 2007
Call to order: 7:00 PM
Minutes of April approved.
Finance report- same as last month, DK will handle getting details from Cara for future meetings.
There should be 4 accounts, Budget fund, Citizens Bank account (private CC funds, donations,
fundraising etc), FM Fund, line item in the budget, and new fund for Land Use Change Tax
monies……………….
New business:
1. C. Moreno – Open Space plan- reviewed plan in detail. Will send new contract with revised
dates and slight pricing change. DK to make copy of colored tax map, get for Charlie and keep
one for CC.
Old business:
1. C. Moreno – Forest bond letter – this letter is a form letter related to the timber tax levied to
property owner or logger. Related to the town owned property that was recently contracted for
timbering. DK to relate info. to the SB. Bottom line, timber tax usually abated to logger if town
property, otherwise, town woul be taxing itself.
2. High Street development suggestions – storage units, 270 proposed, reviewed applicants
maps, drainage etc. SW will review with folks at DES. DK suggested that CC attend PB meeting
on June 7th. MW, suggested the CC recom’d applicant plant decidieus trees along the buffer –
cedar?
3. Mail Review – NH Association of CC’s – dues are $225. Will have Cara pay for CC.
4. Thompson Road development – check with PB on pending applications??
5. DES Pond dredging follow up letter, White. All set, just FYI.

Discussion of thank you to JM for his service.
Sargent Town Forest clean up has been post poned, stay tuned.
Update of CC procedures, please review, mark up and we will discuss at the next or upcoming
meeting.
R2C2, July 19th, maybe a field trip…stay tuned………………..Mark, keep us posted.
Saving Special Places Workshop – no update, no CC member attended.
Next meeting Monday June 18th, will meet 3rd Monday instead of 4th from now on. Mark will
have changed on website, town bulletin board and paper community calendar.
