October 17, 2012

1. Meeting opened at 5:36.

2. Attendees: Ted Mitchell (TM), Lyn Roberts (LR), Linda Small (LS), Paul Sherwood (PSh),
Ellen Barbasso (EB), and Paul Skowron (PSk).

3. Minutes for October 3, 2012 accepted and approved as written.

B. He will contact Bob Legg to discuss what can be done

5. Irving Oil Property
A. Meeting on Friday October 19, 2012 at CNHRPC with Matt Monahan, Stu Arnett
and representatives from Cobalt
B. Discuss what can be done with the property to benefit Pittsfield and Irving

6. AMENICO
A. Received favorable response to letter about an accent garden
B. A second letter was sent to them inviting them to an EDC meeting in October or November
C. TM made a plan for the garden and researched different plants then made recommendations

7. Master Plan Survey
A. Goals of the Master Plan Committee and goals of EDC are similar
B. We would like to do a survey of community with Survey Monkey
1. Need to raise money to fund the survey-will cost about $1,600
2. Look at draft and bring back suggestions at next meeting

8. Annual letter to businesses-changes were suggested

9. Downtown beautification and clean-up
A. TM updated previous letter
B. We can plan for work to be done in the spring
C. Can try to get PMHS students to help as their community service hours

10. Other-EB will contact Anna Colon-Pagan to help with a town Facebook page

11. Next meeting will be November 7, 2012 at 5:30 PM.
