The minutes from the August meeting were accepted as written.
Jean Marcotte talked about what steps were needed to reclaim the
sand that washed into the water. He said that we need to get the
names and addresses of some surrounding properties and send them
notification. Also, we need to get the measurements of the area
involved. A motion was made to approve the spending of $100 for
the application for this process as well as 10 cents per square feet of
the area being worked on. This motion was approved.
Harvestfest is schedule for October 27th from 2-8pm. We discussed a
timetable at well as activities. Zac said that the PYW would be
running a Haunted Trail and asked for help monitoring the 2 back
gates.
The upcoming basketball season was discussed. It was decided that
we would get a background check for each coach through the state
this year. A motion was made to approve the sending of $200 on 1st
aid kits for the basketball teams. Jay’s goal is to have one complete
kit at the high school, one at the elementary school, and one for the
traveling team. This motion was approved.
The Gazebo repairs were discussed. The cost of materials is
estimated at $1600. The budget proposal for the 2008 year has
taken into account the need for a slight increase in repairs to be able
to complete this project in the spring.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:55.
The next meeting will be held on Monday, September 10, 2007 at the
Town Hall.
