Minutes from PDAC Meeting
@ PYW on September 14, 2009, 7-8:30pm

In attendance: Dan Ward, Zach Powers, Denise Morin, Sarah Sadowski, Matt Hanson, Dr. Freeman, Dave Stasiak, Chief Wharem

Meeting called to order by Zach at 7pm.

I. Reports
Sarah and Zach reported on attending the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA) training and handed out the Capacity Primer. Representation from each of the 12 sectors identified on page 10 will be necessary to be eligible for future Drug Free Communities funding.

Sarah reported that the Director of the Division of Liquor Enforcement will be at the next Capital Region Community Prevention Coalition (CRCPC) meeting to answer questions regarding liquor laws. Particular concerns were raised over the social host liability laws and statute wording for more effective enforcement.

II. Old Business
Chief Wharem updated the group on his goal of having a timeline in place in the next few weeks for the spending of the NH Charitable grant ($5,000). Dr. Freeman expressed support for parent education programs, Matt highlighted the need for more club activities such as juggling for youth to participate in. The Every 15 Minutes program was discussed as well.

III. New Business
The upcoming business sector meeting was discussed and a date was set for October 19th. Sarah and Denise will collaborate on a list of businesses to invite and issue the invitations.

The meeting adjourned at 8:30pm. The next PDAC meeting will be held on September 28th at 7pm.
