The February minutes were approved as written. No meeting was held in March.
.

Jesse reported that all bills had been cleared for Winter Fest. That account is at the Citizen’s Bank. Jesse is the only present committee member on the account. It was decided that Nick Abell and Maryellen Plante should be added to that accounts incase Jesse isn’t available. Jesse also reported that budget had not been touched except for electricity and programming for the Easter Egg Hunt.

It was decided that we should place a newspaper ad looking for new ideas for activities.

It was decided that we would not sponsor the Fishing Derby again this year. The pool will still be drained in May.

Possibility of having another movie night was discussed. Jesse said he would look into that. Wild life Encounters will present a program on August 12 in conjunction with the Carpenter Library summer reading program. Parks and Recreation will pay for the program from our programming budget.

It was decided that we would need double the eggs for the Easter Egg Hunt next year. Also some should be saved for any children who did not find any during the hunt. The age groups should be different next year with the following groups- 0- 3 years old, 4 and 5 year olds, 6, 7, and 8 year olds and above eight. It was also suggested that we have the different groups hunt at different times. And that we could offer pictures with the Easter Bunny.

Minni will work with Steve Catalano to organize a Rotary work day at the recreation area. Steve has offered to do work at the area as his President’s Project.

The cost for the Better Buddies from Epsom for use of the recreation area will be $500 again this summer. This will be for admission on Fridays and every afternoon on the 2 weeks that they take part in swimming lessons. They will pay the out of town rate for swimming lessons.

Darrell reported that things went well overall with the basketball program. Some of the other towns complained about the size of the gym which is out of our control.

Plans were made for interviewing for life guards and gate keepers at the recreation area. Swim lesson schedule and hourly wages were discussed. Discussion was held about the back ground checks for employees and minimum age requirements. Minni will check in with Cara about those things. Shirts will again be bought for all employees.
Respectfully submitted,

Maryellen Plante
