Parks and Recreation

Members in attendance: Kathy Boudreau, Nick Abel, Maryellen Plante

The minutes from the November meeting were not approved because not enough members were in attendance.

Winterfest: plans were reviewed.

Basketball: Kathy reported that Jason had approved coaches pending criminal record approval. The members in attendance reviewed the list and gave their approval as well. The code of ethics was approved.

Ski Program: Kathy reported that the ski program has an enrollment of 24 children and 10-12 adults. Sign-ups were very successful.

Dustin Park locks: Nick reported that the locks had been changed. Kathy, Nick, and Minni all have keys and there are keys at the town office. Minni and Nick reported that the Chamber of Commerce was making a key as they use the park often.

Gazebo: Nick reported that he had been working with the Select Board and they were discussing the need for bids and putting the money in a capital reserve fund. The capital reserve fund will have to be brought up at Town Meeting.

Voice Mail: Nick is still working on getting voice mail for the Parks and Recreation Commission.

Parks and Recreation Website: Nick offered to be in charge of the website as he is familiar with it because he handles it for the fire department.

Gene Marcotte has received approval from the Select Board to be the Parks and Recreation representative for the dredging project at the recreation area.
