Budget Committee
January 3, 2007
Members Present: E. Bahr, W. Case, L. Deane, C. Dustin, G. Gilman, L. Okrent,
M. Paradise (School Board rep), J. Prue, H. Schoppmeyer, L. Small (Select Board
rep), M. Vaughan.
Member absent: C. Keuenhoff
Meeting was called to order at 7:15 PM by Chairman Dustin.
The minutes of the December 27, 2006 meeting were approved as read.

Committee members studied the worksheet and asked questions. A $.52 tax increase
is based on the figures of the Selectmen. This does not include salary for a new Town
Administrator or the contracts. These items will be taken up under separate
Warrant Articles.
February 6, 2007 is the last day for Warrant Articles to be submitted. The Public Hearing
will be held on February 8, 2007 at the Elementary School, pending availability.
Dates for the Committee’s voting will be decided once the Public Hearing is set.
The committee will discuss the Elementary School budget at the next meeting on
January 10, 2007.
It was noted that 14% of the school budget is geared to special education students.
Also of note, the question of SB2 will be on the March 13, 2007 ballot as a petition.
Town Meeting is Saturday, March 17, 2007.
