July 21, 2008
The Pittsfield Website Committee was called to order @ 7:05 pm.

1. Minutes of May 19, 2008;
Minutes were revised as follows – Item 3 under section 2d, should read mypittsfield.com. Minutes approved as corrected.
2. Ongoing Business
a. Website Report – Police are receiving spam on their comment section. Matt and Clayton will look for solutions.
b. Domain names reside at the following locations
1. mypittsfield.com (Go Daddy)
2. mypittsfield.com (Matt )
3. mypittsfield.com (Go Daddy)
4. mypittsfieldnh.com (Go Daddy)
5. Pittsfieldnh.net (Go Daddy)
c. Old Home Day: Citizens were disappointed that Old Home Day schedule was not posted on the website. Clayton will try to get schedule for Balloon Rally posted as soon as information is available. Old Home Day photographs at Fiesta Theme Photo booth were a hit; good PR for website.
d. Vehicle Registry: Matt suggested that Committee look into on-line registry of vehicles for the Town. Concern was expressed that due to the age of the Town’s computer operating systems, the computers may not be able to run the necessary software (specifically, Internet Explorer 7).
e. Property assessments have been posted with names removed.
f. Hardware Expert: Interest was expressed in bringing on–board a committee member with computer hardware experience.
g. Minutes: Downloading of minutes from the website is a little confusing for users. Clayton will look at reorganizing how hyperlinks are setup.
h. Phone Numbers: Comments have been received that town phone numbers are hard to locate. Listing of phone numbers is similar in format to the old website. Committee
discussed going to a directory style format with all numbers listed in one area versus under each department. Clayton will work with Matt to address.
3. New Business
a. Employee of the month: Received request to work with selectman in posting employee of the month information. Committee discussed placing under Public Announcements section. Content will come from press release generated for the paper.
b. Website Comments: Blog will be used as central archive for posting and storing comments received.
c. Non-Profit Website Request: Matt has offered to host area non-profit websites on his Suncook Valley Website. Clayton has volunteered to work with Matt as an editor to support non-profit sites on www.suncookvalley.com. The Committee agreed to link to these sites from the Town’s Website. A note will be put in the paper that non-profits can contact Suncook Valley about having a site established.
d. Commercializing “Moving to Pittsfield” Page: Discussed allowing local realtors to post ads on the page. Money received would be used to offset website costs. Clayton will talk with the Town Administrator about this idea.
e. Blog Request: Pittsfield Drug & Alcohol Commission is interested in having access to a blog on the Town’s Web Site. Request will be put on hold pending further development and implementation of the blogging software.
4. Projects
a. All committee members should continue to check website for content and links.
b. To keep photography current, Matt will develop a link to Bob’s website for images displayed in the slideshow at the top of the left navigation sidebar.
