1. Meeting opened at 5:35.

2. Attendees: Ted Mitchell (TV), Lyn Roberts (LR), Linda Small (LS), Susan Muenzinger (SM),
Ellen Barbasso (EB), and Paul Skowron (PS), Matt Monahan (MM) from CNHRPC,
John Freeman (SAU 51), Kelly Chisholm (NHTI), and Paul Rogers.

3. Minutes from June 13, 2012 accepted and approved with correction on section 6C..

4. Discussion with Kelly Chism and John Freeman.
A. TM showed how the EDC had categorized and prioritized the topics
B. Kelly Chism
1. Gave an overview of how NHTI helped Kentek with team building training
2. NHTI can help with math skills, writing, tech writing and basic fundamentals of manufacturing
3. They generally make training relevant to a specific company
4. Made a suggestion to find a welder to train or mentor someone in an apprenticeship program
5. Suggested formulating a resource list for surrounding local communities
C. John Freeman – PMHS is addressing several issues
1. Seminars for students showing options for jobs in manufacturing
2. Interview skills with actual business owners
3. Mentoring-matching students to companies
4. Basic skills in writing and computer capabilities (word documents and spreadsheets)

B. Why Pittsfield project
1. Tim Osborne still working on it
2. TM will invite him to July 11th meeting
C. TM working on letter to Irving regarding property
1. Taking pictures showing things that need to be addressed
2. Potential brownfields site-possible contamination-DES would know
3. Clean up money can only be given to a town
4. Ask them to consider possible tax advantage if they donate property to the town
D. New business in old Pittsfield Weave building on Lafayette Street
E. Invite manufacturers to come to meeting at end of July
