The minutes from the May meeting were approved as written.

The Annual Fishing Derby was discussed. The date will be June 14, 2008 from 9-1 and the derby will be held at the FB Argue Recreation Area. Minni asked if the beach could again be roped off so there would be no hooks left in the sand. Kathy reported that the fish would be delivered that week. We bought 150 trout and the state is matching that with 150. The age groups will be as follows- 1) under 6, 2) ages 7-9, 3) 10-16. Jesse was authorized to spend up to $10.00 on bait in case people don’t bring enough. The prizes will be the ones left from the Ice Fishing Derby which was cancelled. We will award prizes for the first fish in each age group, the last fish in each group, The sum of the lengths of the 5 fish that each child catches. No one can leave the area with more than 5 fish. Kathy has the sign up sheets all prepared and will get them to Jesse. Lynda and Minni will help Jesse on that day. Jesse also has some other people who have volunteered.

Minni reported that the Recreation Area would be ready for opening on June 20th. The water in the pool house is to be turned on on Wednesday. We should remember to get the water turned on in May next year. Minni will meet with the employees on June 14th during the fishing derby if they can make it. Minni will buy the the rest of the Booster Club’s snacks from Joanne Ward.

Kathy handed out the coach’s guidelines that she had found from other towns. We still need to develop code of conduct for coaches, parents, and players. These will be discussed at a later meeting.

It was decided that we would show the movie ET the Friday night before Old Home Day. Minni will let Andi Riel know the information so it can be advertised as part of Old Home Day. The date will be July 18, 2008. Kathy has taken care of the licensing. The Gates will open at 7:00 and the movie will start at dusk. It will be advertised as bring your own blanket. We will sell pop corn, hot dogs, and the regular concessions. Minni will ask her husband, Richie to build a screen, Discussion of buying or borrowing equipment was left for further investigation.
