MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING

DATE: THURSDAY, MARCH 26, 2015

ITEM 1. Call to Order at 7:08 P.M. by Carole Dodge, Chairman

ITEM 2. Roll Call

Members Present:

Carole Dodge (CD), Chairman, John (Pat) Heffernan (PH), Vice-Chairman, Scott Aubertin (SA), Albert Douglas (AD), Alternate, Jeffrey Swain (JS), Alternate and Delores Fritz, Recording Secretary.

Members Absent:

Denis Beaudoin (DB), Paul Metcalf, Sr. (PM).

Albert Douglas (AD) and Jeffrey Swain (JS) were seated on the Board

ITEM 3. Approval of Minutes of March 26, 2015

(PH) Motion to approve Minutes of March 26, 2015. (JS) Second.
Carried: 3-0. (AD) and (SA) Abstain.

ITEM 4. Appointments

a. Appointment of Jeffrey Swain

(AD) Motion to appoint Jeffrey Swain as Alternate. (PH) Second.
Carried: 4-0 (JS) Abstain.

b. Review of Application – Deidre Benjamin

Deidre Benjamin was present. She explained some of her past experience as an environmental consultant and the Wells Conservation Commission.

(AD) Motion to approve Deidre Benjamin as Zoning Board Alternate – term of three years. (PH) Second. Carried 5-0.

ITEM 5. WORK SESSION

Pat Heffernan once again supplied the maps with overlay as Board revised Table of Uses. Board agreed that many of the definitions also needed to be revised. (Please note * indicates definitions to be revised at a later date.)

Board began reviewing Table of Use starting with Campground.

Ralph Odell: When Board was discussing the districts and zones for Church, he noted that churches have expanded their outreach by adding soup kitchen, food pantries, etc. to their agenda.

He also noted that Home Occupations are increasing and that a lot of individuals have either an office or an occupation housed in their homes.

ITEM 6. Members concerns

ITEM 7. Public Input

None.

ITEM 8. Adjournment

Board agreed the next Work Session would be April 9th.
