Minutes for March 27, 2014 Meeting

Call to Order: 7:05 PM by Chairman Christ Hill

Present: Members: Chairman Chris Hill (CH), Bryan Mika (BMik), Ted Mitchell (T M)

Meeting Minutes: Approval of the minutes of the February meeting tabled until next meeting

Treasurer’s Report: General Fund – $375.00
NHPDIP Fund – $6000.00+ (Note – Access with commission member vote,
Then give Town Office (Cara) copy of
Minutes)
NHPDIP LUCT 20% Fund – $47,000.00+ (Note – Need Board of Selectmen
Approval before spending)

Old Business: 1. NH Association of Conservation Commission membership dues of $275.00 – Paid
2. Saving Special Places 2014 Land Conservation Conference April 5, 2014
CH, BMik, TM will attend

New Business: 1. Wild Goose Pond Watershed signs – Won’t be posted until CH attends Board of
Selectmen meeting to brief them
2. Discussed town conservation properties – Must continue to identify properties
and walk them, specifically; Suncook River lot off from Barnstead Rd (opposite
the riverside park) and the lot along the Suncook River (next to town pit)
3. Discussed what it would take to take possession of state owned lot next to the Sargent
Town Forest on Catamount Rd
– Send letter to NHDOT
– Deposit of $500.00 for NHDOT’s review and determination of availability for disposal
this administrative fee will be retained as liquidated damages if we decide not to
purchase the property
– NHDOT will determine fair market value of property
