ETHICS COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES – !draft!

MINUTES OF MEETING
1. Meeting was called to order at 7:00pm
2. Two complaints were distributed to the committee by the vice chair. R. Vien
recused himself due to a potential conflict of interest.
3. An undated complaint, submitted by Don Chase listing Lester Firstenberger as
respondent was read. During the pre-hearing conference the committee listened to
input from the respondent, complainant and public. Failing to find evidence in
the material submitted that would lead the committee to believe that an ethics
violation had occurred, the committee voted unanimously to drop the complaint.
4. The complaint submitted by Don Chase listing Donna Keeley as respondent,
dated April 27, 2006 was read. During the pre-hearing conference the committee
listened to input from the respondent, complainant and public. Noting the
complainant’s failure to pursue all other avenues of relief available as well as a
lack of evidence suggesting that an ethics violation had occurred, the committee
voted unanimously to drop the complaint.
5. The committee chair will draft a letter of the committee’s findings for review at
the committee’s next meeting.
6. The date of the next committee meeting was set for Wednesday, May 31 @ 7:00
pm.
7. Meeting was adjourned by the Chairman at 8:35 p.m.
