Draft Minutes for May 28, 2014

Call to Order: 6:45 pm at Town Hall

Agenda Items:

Letter to Earl Elliott
Ted had conversation with Mrs. Florence Freese. She is
holding off on her support of the Trail until the committee
gets support from Mr. Elliott. Ted sent a letter to Mr. Elliott
requesting he attend the May 28, 2014 committee meeting.
He nor a family member attended.

What To Do Until Committee Can Start This Trail
Will concentrate on cleaning up town owned property
where trail ends (once built). Board up unsafe building,
clear brush, etc. Prepare end of trail that the Kraft’s own. If
the concerns of Mr. Elliott have not been resolved by this
point in time, will focus on creating trail along rail bed
from the sewer treatment plant down to Webster Mills Road
(owned by the Kraft’s). Ted will draft a letter to one of Mr.
Elliott’s sons to see what the committee can do to get a
dialogue going with his father. Ted will also draft a letter to
the Board of Selectmen asking approval for the Trails
Committee to clean up the town owned property, board up
the building and seek out funds to remove the asbestos
siding and eventual removal of the entire building.
