2012 Budget Committee meeting

Minutes

Members Present: Louie Houle Chairman, Mark Riel Vice-Chair, Larry Willams Secretary, Stan Bailey, Josh McCabe, Helen Schoppmeyer, Paul Rogers Selectman Rep., Mary Paradise School Board Rep., Nichol Manteau School Board Alt., Paul Skowron Town Adminstrator.

Meeting called to order: 7:08                                        Date:11/14/12

 

Reading of last minutes: None

 

Louie informed the board that we have lost 3 members. It would be nice to fill these positions before we get too far into the budgets. If anyone knows someone that would be interested, it might help if they had some knowledge of budgets. Anyone interested should talk to Steve Adams.

 

The town budget was presented to the members as they arrived and all agreed to proceed with a first review.

 

Revenues: (not complete) no comments

 

Budget:

 

AMBULANCE:

1. Noted that on line 216, this line  was cut to a total of $1.00. In 2012 this line read $7,136.00. Louie had a concern as to if this was an expense we would accrue. The answer is yes. Louie questioned why it was removed and if removed, does it reflect the true budget.

 

It was suggested that it should be in the actual budget.

 

All agreed to discuss it more with  the Fire Chief.

 

Also mentioned was a possible change and new title. Fire Fighter/E.M.T.- this change will be an incurred cost to the town.

 

Budget Committee would like to see some of the department heads, Paul S. will set it up.

 

Also the Library would like to give a presentation to the board.
