Pittsfield Website Committee – November 20, 2012
The Pittsfield Website Committee was called to order at @ 7:08 pm.
Location: Pittsfield Town Hall

Members present:
Clayton Wood, Chair
Bob Legg
Matt Goodwin

Jen Goodwin, Secretary

1. Minutes: Minutes of July 17, 2012 were approved.
2. Website Updates:
a. Clayton and Matt reported that everything is working well with the new server and the website looks great.
3. Public Requests:
a. Clayton was contacted by the Chichester Website Committee about adding some of their events to our website. Clayton reported that we have no policy written on this and he would work on a policy.
b. Clayton also reported there was a request from a political candidate group that requested information put on the site about an upcoming event for them. Clayton stated we did not have a policy on that and he would also write a new policy for that information.
c. Clayton reported he had been contacted about having a newsletter on the town website. After discussion from the committee Clayton will talk to Andi Riel about linking to her Town Crier column.
4. Pittsfield Emergencies:
a. Bob reported he had heard about some talk about a new way to reach out to town people in an emergency like an alert system or a town twitter account. Bob or Clayton will talk to the fire chief to see if he is interested in having a tab on the town website about emergency information.
5. Christmas:
a. Matt will put up a Christmas tree photo from Bob on the home page and then attach all the Christmas information from Clayton will he receives it.
