Trustees Meeting

Those Present: Elsie Morse, Cara Marston ,Bill Provencal and T. J Shaughnessy
Secretary’s Report: The Secretary’s Minutes were accepted as written.
Treasurer’s Report: Cara Marston presented the Treasurer’s Report. Reimbursements from the Sanderson’s Fund were examined and what funds have not been expended as of this date was examined. Motion made and Seconded to accept.
New Business:
The Trustees met with T. J. Saughnessy who presented a letter from Christopher T. Casey, CFA of Wilmington Trust dated October 11, 2011. The letter was examined and points were brought out by T. J..
T. J. also discussed in length the current world economic situation and its effect on the investment market.
We also discussed handouts on the Town of Pittsfield’s Investment Outline as provided by T. J.. Of particular concern was the current financial status of the Cemetery Trust Funds.
Old Business:
The Distribution of Scholarships from the Foss Foundation was examined. About $5,000 in funds allocated in June have yet to be claimed. Five of the recipients have not responded to letters mailed to them.
A meeting has been scheduled for November 10, 2011 for discussion of the Sanderson Fund distribution and our compliance with the Sanderson will provisions.
A meeting will be held prior to December 15, 2011 with T. J. Shaughnessy. Also requested to be in attendance are Mr. Hank Stapleton and Mr. Dave Pollard.
