September 25, 2014 Minutes

Pittsfield Conservation Commission (PCC)
Minutes for September 25, 2014 Meeting

Call to order: 7:03 PM by Chairman Chris Hill.

Present: Chairman Chris Hill (CH), Secretary Diana Westgate (DW), Members Bryan Mika, Owen David (OD), Alternate Ted Mitchell, Bill Miskoe (BMis).

Meeting minutes: August 28 accepted with changes.

Treasurer’s Report: CH will pick up a copy from the Town Hall on Monday.

Old Business

Bear-Paw Goose Pond Conservation Update: Mark West plans to give a map presentation at a time to be determined. Any contributions to Bear-Paw will be matched through October. They are offering a program on Stone Walls on October 21.

Town-owned Lots Consolidation Project Update: The town wants the lots to be merged into two separate parcels. They include 2 roads that are not maintained by the town. The Planning Board voted 4 to 1 to approve this consolidation. The division appears to be tax sheet driven as the properties appear on two different tax sheets. The town manager is looking into their marketability, either as one lot or two, and what plans the Select Board may have for them.

New Business

Dustin Barker. Watson Property. The original sign for it is broken. BMik observed that some of the pine trees aren’t looking well and may need attention. He will check on them.

Ag Commission. A potluck supper to discuss livestock issues will be held October 16h at 6:30 at the Pittsfield Youth Workshop.

Adjournment: 8:20 PM.

The next meeting will be October 23, 2014.
